Efficiency - Reducing Fuel Costs

FurnaceMANAGER’s System includes a rugged heavy duty, wireless Nema 4, Class 1, Division 2 laptop which allows viewing all interior features of the furnace such as burners, tubes, burner tiles, refractory, etc., from anywhere around or on the furnace.

Radio transmitters are located at strategic locations to provide coverage around and on the furnace. The laptop gives the operators the ability to see the burners live while making fuel and oxidant adjustments, allowing the furnace to be safely started up or shutdown, as well as to be carefully adjusted for the most efficient operation.

The laptop is also used to view overall distribution of heat flux, by turning on the color overlay for the tubes, allowing the operator to adjust burners in selected sections to provide and overall consistent flux, resulting in less deterioration to tubes and catalyst
